Description
In this example, a company has employees whose homes are located in different wire centers from the main office. With IP Centrex, the
main office and the home offices of the telecommuters can be part of the same Centrex group. This means that the home-based workers can
have the identical calling capabilities and features (e.g., call transfer, 3-way calling, voicemail) as workers in the office. All the
users can use the same abbreviated dial plan to call each other, regardless of whether they are based in the office or from home. Calls
between the main office and the homes do not incur toll charges. (Without IP Centrex, these would be toll calls.)
